International mutual fund software vendor is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with a range of technical ability/technical skills- SWIFT, SQL, CCNA, MCP, FIX, and VPN.
At Harrington Starr we are working with a leading mutual fund software vendor. Throughout the entire life cycle of a mutual fund transaction, our client helps customers reduce costs and gain greater visibility and control. Our client delivers straight-through-process efficiencies throughout the entire life cycle of mutual fund trading through to settlement and automates key business flow processes.
Due to recent growth our client is seeking an infrastructure engineer to support all infrastructure services including networks, Servers, applications, software and hardware.
The key responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer/Support Engineer (Networks, Servers, Applications, Microsoft, Cisco, SWIFT, FIX, SQL) role will include:- Full responsibility for all IT infrastructures within organization, which includes but not limited to, corporate office, Managed Hosted data centres and outsourced services. - Direct, implement and oversee standard IT practices for the corporate office and hosted data centres which includes; Anti-Virus, Backups, Security Patches, Service and system monitoring, service upgrades and enhancements. - Build and maintain vendor relationships in the management and purchase of hardware and software products. - Assist in client implementations taking full responsibility for addressing all connectivity and security requirements. - Managing the purchasing of all software and hardware and ensure the assets are tagged, documented and maintained responsibly.
The key skills and knowledge required for the Infrastructure Engineer/Support Engineer (Networks, Servers, Applications, Microsoft, Cisco, SWIFT, FIX, SQL) role includes;- Experience in Support (Minimum of 5 years' experience in application support, network support, customer support, server support or infrastructure support) - Minimum of 3 years' experience in an infrastructure engineer/support role. - Microsoft (MCP) and Cisco (CCNA) Certification is desirable - Strong technical background, the wider technical skill the better. Most desirable is experience of databases/SQL (ability to create and run own queries), MQ (any variant), SWIFT, ISO15022, ISO20022, FIX and XML. - Excellent communication and presentation skills -Flexibility on international travel and "on call duty" is required.
