Our client has recently established a Brisbane office to service the needs of the expanding queensland resource industry and is seeking both senior and junior civil and geotechnical engineers to help develop this exciting new venture.
The successful candidates will be given a variety of opportunities to provide specialist geotechnical input into a multidiscipline design team and be responsible for a major variety of tasks along with providing guidance and expert advice to junior staff, tasks may include:
Geotechnical investigations
Fieldwork management
Conceptual design
Design analysis and reporting
This role will see you managing a range of small to large sized projects, project types in various locations may include:
Local government projects
Dams and weirs
Tunnels
Large mining projects with tailings management
Waste containment facilities
Ports
Rail
Earth retaining structures and pavements
Essential to your success, other requirements include:
A degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
A minimum of 5 years industry experience with experience in mining and tailings management preferred
A proven track record on project management and client liaison
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Commitment to travel both interstate and internationally for short periods
