Job Description:
A fantastic career opportunity in the north Okanagan Region of B.C. awaits a Senior Project Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. As the successful candidate, you are someone who enjoys spending 50% of your time getting your ‘hands dirty’ and 50% working on proposals, contracts, etc. You will have the opportunity to make your mark in developing and implementing the engineering strategy of all Process, Plant and Industrial Engineering that supports the strategic direction of the plant.

As a key player in the organization your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the development and implementation of new products and capital projects
Identifying and evaluating efficiencies of the production methodology and implementing changes to the SOPs (standard operating procedures)
Developing and implementing improvements using new technology and industry expertise
Working closely with the ISP 9001 team to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 standards
Supervising the continual assessment of labour and materials standards to maximize production efficiencies and reduce variances
Assisting with vendor selection, equipment specs, negotiation and contract preparation
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering (Engineering Technologist will also be considered) (Must Have)
3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (exp. in plastics or fiberglass mfg. is an asset)
A strong understanding of the manufacturing processes
Experience in leading one or two projects from start to finish, would be an asset
Strong Command of the English language (both verbal and written)
Experience writing proposals for capital projects, standard operating procedures, white papers (is an asset)
Strong ‘finisher’ that ensures all the ‘I’s are dotted and ‘T’s are crossed from start to finish (MUST Have)
Experience with a drawing or modeling tools will be an asset
You thrive on spending 50% of your time on the floor and 50% in the office (MUST Have)
