Our client is an international Freight Forwarder that operates globally with approximately 1000 employees. They value every customer and understand that each freight movement requires a unique solution to ensure top-quality customized logistics solutions. With offices around the globe, they service clients throughout the globe.
They are currently seeking a Customs Manager who will manage a team while ensuring efficient delivery of customs processing services to clients in the Quebec Region.
Responsibility:
- Manage and participate in the development of customs processes, service platforms, and productivity output
- Address client issues and maintain positive relationships with all as well as relevant government authorities
- Lead and motivate the team to succeed and deliver results
- Maintain a strong presence among other teams within the organization
- Have ownership and accountability of actions when it comes to satisfying clients and developing the team
Requirements:
- CCS designation or CBSA professional qualification certificate mandatory
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, programs, classification, valuation, NAFTA and other FTA's
- LVS and HVS release and acquittal processes as well as cadex interfaces
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing a team of 10 or more
- Minimum of 10 years experience in customs brokerage and advisory services with exposure to all modes of transport
- Experience in training and delivery of presentations
- Fluent in English and French
- Excellent interpersonal skills
