The Role
An exciting and dynamic Account Manager role has arisen within the Global Diageo team, ideal for anyone wishing to combine strategic global campaign development with the opportunity to develop creative ideas in the lifestyle and luxury sectors.
The team currently works across a number of Diageo brands including Johnnie Walker whisky and Ciroc vodka, developing global brand PR campaigns alongside the Diageo brand marketing teams.
The role offers responsibility, scope for creativity and personal growth. Experience across consumer, lifestyle and luxury PR is critical as is an in-depth understanding of social media and the role that it plays in successful communications programmes; experience of the drinks industry is a bonus but not a requirement.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate:

• Experience of working for large, blue chip clients
• Keep a cool head and demonstrate maturity under pressure
• Experience in managing budgets
They will be expected to:
• Regularly develop clear, concise and high impact PowerPoint presentations
• Project manage activity, driving the junior team forwards
• Manage a client contact effectively alongside senior report
• Be the main day-to-day contact on client business and media activity
• Counsel clients on current PR activity and projects as far as possible with gravitas and credibility
• Understand thoroughly the Client’s business, communication objectives and industry
• Co-ordinate an international network of PR agencies who ‘apply’ the campaigns we ‘create’ at a global level, working with the experienced hubbing team at Edelman
The role involves an environment that deals with working virtually across borders, so evidence of flexibility, ability to build relationships and communicating clearly with people whose first language is not English, will be a distinguishing skill.
Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary. Candidates must have previous PR experience, a 2:1 at degree level and fluent written English. Ideally he or she will have knowledge of an additional language.
