Our Lead Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, runs inspections and diagnostic tests, and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles. Our leads must prove to be a solid team leader who will be responsible for providing support and direction to the less experienced maintenance mechanics. They must be willing to teach necessary skills in order to help folks complete their tasks. They will be responsible for some aspects of inventory control, experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software is essential.
Minumum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Supervisory Experience Required. Our Lead Maintenance Mechanic oversees a small group of technicians
Must be able to pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, extensive federal, provincial and local background check,
motor vehicle background check and a Department of Transportation physical
Must have a valid Class 3 License with airbrakes endorsement or equivalent or be willing to obtain one within the next 6 months
At least 1 years of previous experience and a Red Seal or Journeyman License
Clean driving record
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to supply your own set of hand tools
Previous experience working with a Parts Inventory Control Software System preferred
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
