Online Media Planner/Buyer
Dynamic entertainment Company involved in television, publishing, online marketing and more, is seeking an exceptional Online Media Planner/Buyer to plan effective online ad campaign placement strategy to drive web traffic, utilizing multiple channels of site distribution, including email, display, SEO and PPC promotions within the performance-based marketing program. This position combines creativity, marketing and analytics with a passion for maximizing profitability.
This position will be required to develop and test online media campaigns with specific performance-based objectives, and expand them into high-volume/large-spend buys. Ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of online media campaign design, testing and optimization across multiple online channels -- including display, retargeting, portal (MSN/Yahoo), PPV, and content networks. This position is 100% ROI-focused and metrics-driven, which means you will be rewarded when a campaign is successful.
Responsibilities:
• Create media plans/proposals
• Execute and manage online media buys
• Online media buying and customer acquisition strategy by developing and managing profitable buys for multiple brands
• Driving and optimizing key traffic and revenue metrics including CTR and conversions through targeting and creative optimization
• Prospect new media outlets, vendors and partners
• Managing CPM, CPL, CPA, CPC and CPV campaigns and reviewing backend performance to ensure specific effective CPA and profitability goals are met
• Maintain regular telephone and online communication with vendors to provide routine follow up, including the announcement of new campaigns, updates/changes, optimizations, and cancellation of existing campaigns
• Generate innovative ideas for increasing lead generation in all SEM endeavors
• Promotion of direct response marketing offers to new online publishers to meet monthly revenue goals
• Analyze and optimize campaigns for meeting and exceeding company goals
• Responsible for full campaign knowledge of all Company offers and competitive analytics
• Generate campaign performance reports, provide performance analysis and execute on the analysis to ensure positive ROI
Requirements:
• 4-year Bachelors degree with preference towards advertising, marketing or business concentrations
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated success in performance-based online media buying
• Excellent, relationship building, communication and negotiation skills
• Strong negotiating skills specifically with media buys and contracts
• Exceptionally detailed knowledge of metrics, specifically A/B, multi-variant testing and ROI analysis
• Technical knowledge and experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of affiliate marketing and PPC advertising, including the building and optimizing of campaigns
• Expert knowledge of top display, retargeting, and online media publishers, networks, DSPs and exchanges including AppNexus, RightMedia, DoubleClick, AdBrite, AdMeld, Rubicon, OpenX and Facebook
• Knowledge of SEM and SEO optimization
• 2+ years of directly related experience in media buying in online marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce
• This individual must be comfortable calling new media vendors and negotiating and closing new relationships while managing, maintaining, and growing existing accounts
